Today's article is a requested by subsciber and I'm going to talk about a plant called schefflera, which is commonly known as umbrella plant, this plant help purify your air quality . So let's get started, Schefflera, which is commonly known as umbrella tree comes in three varieties Green Leaf variety variegated one, like the one I have and walk sized variety. This is an amazing plant, which is commonly grown for its beautiful foliage. It can be grown in shade as well as in full sunlight when grown outdoors in warmer climates. They produce bright red color flowers.

This is one of the air purifier plant which removes formaldehyde toluene and Benzene from are and more importantly it removes toxins released into are buy cigarettes. 

Interesting, isn't it? So it's a must have planned for you if someone in your house smokes cigarette. 

Since another important thing to know about this plant is it's toxic to cats and dogs. So beware if you have pets at home. 

Now let's talk about it sun and water requirements. So as I already told about it soil requirements, you can grow them indoors and Outdoors both but if you are growing them indoors keep them somewhere else it gets filtered sunlight for bright and Shining leaves. 

Then it comes about its water requirements always check its oil before watering. Let this oil dry out completely before watering. If you see the leaves are dropping or from the plant. That's the indication that you're you're over watering them. 

This is one of the easiest plant to grow in care. It can be very easily propagated by their stem cutting. 

Pick any semi would stem cutting from the plant and remove all its bottom leaves. So it becomes easy to insert the cutting into soil. However, if you want you can remove all of its leaves also. And for preparing its potting mix I prefer taking soil coco peat and compost mixture. However, you can grow them in only garden soil also. 

Then gently insert the cutting into pot and put more soil as required. 

Water it thoroughly and keep the power in partial shade for few days. That's it. Thank You.
